Success isn’t accidental. Discover the 10 daily habits I use to create peace, joy, discipline, and focus—without waiting for life to slow down.
Create Peace Daily: 10 Habits That Shape Success
You Don’t Wait for Peace. You Create It.
There was a time in my life when I thought peace would come “after.”
After the closing.
After the chaos.
After the caregiving.
After the heartbreak.
After the to-do list slowed down.
But what I’ve learned — through real estate cycles, relationships, rebuilding seasons, and serving hundreds of families — is this:
Peace and joy are not outcomes.
They are daily decisions.
These ten habits aren’t just productivity principles for me. They are how I protect my energy. How I lead. How I serve. How I build a business without losing myself inside of it.
This is how I rule my life — gently, intentionally, and strategically.
And it’s how you can too.
- Rise Early Before the Rest of the World & Be Grateful for Another Day☀️
My day starts before the world starts asking things from me.
5:00 AM. Coffee. Quiet. Book in hand. Gratitude journal open.
This isn’t about hustle culture. It’s about ownership.
When I rise early, I’m not reacting. I’m creating.
I read. I think. I pray. I plan.
I move my body.
I decide who I am going to be that day before anyone else tries to define it for me.
Success doesn’t begin at 9 AM.
It begins in the quiet moments where you align your spirit before your schedule.
Peace is created in the morning.
- God Gave Us 2 Ears and 1 Mouth for a Reason – Listen Twice as much 👂
As an empath, listening is one of my greatest strengths — and one of my greatest responsibilities. Listening can be a superpower. If you listen more than you speak you will learn so much from other people.
In real estate, people aren’t just buying homes.
They’re buying safety.
Security.
A fresh start.
A legacy.
A lifestyle.
If you don’t listen, you miss everything.
Active listening builds trust.
Trust builds influence.
Influence builds impact.
But listening isn’t just about others.
It’s also about listening to your intuition.
If something feels off, it usually is.
If something feels aligned, lean into it.
Your inner voice is wiser than your fear.
- Being Early is On Time – On Time is Late ⏰
Being on time isn’t about a clock.
It’s about respect. Planning to be early so you regulate your nervous system and bring peace to the room is priceless not only for you but for the person you are meeting.
When I show up 10-15 minutes early that is on time to me — for a listing appointment, a buyer tour, a mindset meeting — I am communicating:
“You matter.”
“Your time matters.”
“This is important.”
Successful people protect their calendars.
Strategic people build margin.
Peaceful people don’t run from appointment to appointment gasping for air with their hair on fire spreading chaos.
I build space into my day on purpose.
Because rushing steals joy.
And I refuse to live rushed.
- Going Above and Beyond 💪
I don’t just open doors, answer phones, return emails or write contracts.
I remove roadblocks, bring peace and calm to a situation, think outside the box to find a solution, and truly care about the outcome for others.
In my business, that means:
– Over-communicating with sellers, buyers, lenders, title reps, friends, partners, etc.
– Calling / Texting every Monday with updates
– Checking in with buyers multiple times a week
– Anticipating problems before they surface
– Creating strategy instead of reacting to chaos
In life, it means:
– Showing up for someone who’s struggling
– Giving more encouragement than criticism
– Doing the extra rep
– Sending the follow-up note
Excellence isn’t exhausting when it’s aligned.
It becomes exhausting when you’re trying to prove something.
I don’t go above and beyond to impress.
I do it because that’s who I am.
- Follow Through on Commitments to Others and Yourself ✅
Integrity is peace.
When your word matches your actions, your mind rests easier at night.
If I say I’m calling a seller Monday, I call.
If I tell a buyer I’ll send properties Tuesday and Thursday, I send them.
If I promise myself a workout, I show up.
Following through builds self-trust.
And self-trust is one of the most underrated success habits in the world.
- Act Before Overthinking Takes Over 🧠
Procrastination is usually fear wearing comfortable clothes. Sometimes if we wait overthinking kicks into high gear and railroads us.
I don’t wait until I “feel like it.”
I move before motivation shows up.
Mel Robbins talks about the 5 Second Rule:
The The 5 Second Rule by Mel Robbins teaches a simple but powerful principle: when you feel the instinct to act on a goal, count down 5-4-3-2-1 and move before your brain talks you out of it. The countdown interrupts overthinking and activates courage. It’s about building confidence through immediate action — not waiting until you “feel ready.” – https://www.melrobbins.com/
Prospecting two hours a day.
Writing even when it’s imperfect.
Making the call even when it’s uncomfortable.
Action creates clarity.
Waiting creates anxiety.
And clarity brings peace.
- Remember and Use People’s First Names 😊
Names matter.
When you say someone’s name, you’re saying:
“I see you.” | “I hear you”
“You’re not just a transaction.”
“You’re not just a contact in my CRM.”
Relationships build businesses.
Connection builds loyalty.
Personalization builds trust.
In a world full of automation, sincerity stands out.
And yes, I use systems.
But I never let systems replace sincerity.
- Lead with Connection, Not Transaction 💬
My business has never been about chasing leads.
It’s been about building relationships.
Calling past clients.
Checking in on birthdays.
Sending gratitude letters.
Hosting connection circles.
Investing in my tribe.
We weren’t built to do life alone. Yes I use a system to help me stay on top of these connections because let’s face it.. our brains are overloaded and systems don’t get tired..
No matter what business you are in check out this system: https://ai.cloze.com/
Engagement isn’t just networking.
It’s nurturing.
Peace grows in community.
- Stay Anchored to Your Priorities ⚓
I have big goals.
Serving 50 families.
Building wealth through real estate.
Creating financial stability.
Living with freedom.
Giving back.
But focus isn’t about obsession.
It’s about alignment.
Every day I ask:
Does this move me forward?
Does this align with my values?
Does this protect my energy?
If not, it’s a distraction.
Strategic people say “NO” often.
Peaceful people say “NO” without guilt. A “NO” or “No, Thank you for thinking of me though” goes along way to protecting your time, money, energy and efforts.
- Lead with Confident Self-Respect 💖
This one took years and I am still working on it daily.
Knowing your worth doesn’t mean arrogance or EGO.
It means boundaries.
It means standards.
It means not shrinking to make others comfortable.
I no longer over-explain my value.
I no longer discount my expertise.
I no longer apologize for protecting my time.
Confidence isn’t loud.
It’s steady.
And steady is powerful.
The Missing Habit Most People Forget
Create Peace and Joy On Purpose.
Don’t wait for the perfect partner.
Don’t wait for the perfect market.
Don’t wait for the perfect income level.
Joy is built in small moments:
– A beach walk at sunrise or sunset
– Coffee in silence
– A workout completed
– A client call that ends in gratitude
– A night without chaos
You do not stumble into peace.
You schedule it.
You protect it.
You build it.
Success without peace is empty.
Success with joy is fulfillment.
You can be disciplined and soft.
Ambitious and calm.
Empathetic and boundaried.
Driven and deeply content.
I live that tension every day.
And I choose it.
Which Habit Will You Strengthen First?
You don’t need to master all ten today.
Start with one.
Rise earlier.
Follow through.
Make the call.
Protect your time.
Create your joy.
Build your life like you build your business:
Intentionally.
Strategically.
With heart.
Because the most powerful thing you can do
is stop waiting for a peaceful life
and start designing one.
