A real estate journey marked by delays, emotions, and resilience—proof that the hardest deals can lead to the most meaningful wins.
16834 TOLEDO BLADE BOULEVARD, PORT CHARLOTTE, Florida 33954
There are deals…
And then there are journeys.
This one was not for the faint of heart.
For five long months, this short sale tested every single person involved.
Our sellers were carrying the weight of uncertainty, fear, and exhaustion—emotionally and financially. Some days felt hopeful. Other days felt impossible. There were tears. There was heartache. And there were moments when it would have been easier for everyone to walk away.
But we didn’t.

The amazing team effort on this deal between the buyers agent – Natalie Turnquist, her buyers, the buyers lender Chad Zwolinsky, | me – Kim Donahue and my sellers, the Short Sale Team at LMS -Eric Fitzpatrick & RH Richards and the Title Company Magnolia Closings especially Jessica Gault.. We communicated almost daily, had to come up with numerous solutions, constantly thinking outside the box to get around the obstacles that Fannie Mae & Rocket Mortgage continued to throw at us. We kept going.. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The buyers—bless their hearts—hung in through every hurdle. Delay after delay. New requirements. Shifting timelines. Emotional ups and downs. They stayed patient when patience was hard. They believed in the outcome even when it felt far away.
And our sellers… they showed courage.
Letting go of a home is never just about a transaction—especially in a short sale. It’s about releasing guilt, grief, stress, and the weight of “what could have been.” Watching them fight through that while still showing up took incredible strength.
There were moments when the deal felt like it might fall apart.
More than once.
But this is where advocacy matters. This is where Experts surpass traditional.
This is where experience, persistence, and heart come into play.
We kept showing up everyday.
We kept communicating every chance we could.
We kept pushing, negotiating, explaining, comforting, and problem-solving.
And then… after five months of uncertainty—
We closed.
What filled the room at the end wasn’t relief alone.
It was closure. Tears of joy, smiles all around.
For the sellers, it was the freedom to finally breathe again—to turn the page without shame and without lingering questions. Knowing their home was going to bless someone else who fought for it as much as they did.
For the buyers, it was the joy of knowing their patience paid off and that their future was finally beginning. They got keys to the home they had dreamed of and fought for.
For all of us, it was a reminder that the hardest paths often lead to the most meaningful outcomes. Going above and beyond then being able to witness the dream come to life was priceless for me.
This deal was emotional. It was messy. It was human. Just when we thought we were set and approved scheduling closing for the 1st, then 2nd, then 3rd and final time more hurdles with Fannie Mae, Rocket Mortgage.. Yet the Buyers and Sellers held their faith in the process. They persevered. We were even all able to be at the closing table together to hug it out and celebrate.
And in the end—it was absolutely worth it.
Because real estate isn’t just about contracts and timelines.
It’s about walking beside people when things feel heavy… and celebrating with them when the light finally breaks through.
